A decade of putting people first

IIP accreditation confirms Jeakins Weir is a great place to work

Jeakins Weir has received the “We invest in people” accreditation from Investors in People (IIP) for the tenth year running. This accreditation demonstrates the value Jeakins Weir places on making work better for everyone, and building a stronger, healthier and happier society.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “Being accredited with ‘We invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Jeakins Weir in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Gaining the accreditation requires a thorough assessment of the company and its working practices, which includes gathering feedback from staff on how they feel about the company and what it can do to improve. In the past year, Jeakins Weir has revised its company values to make them more relevant to the business and its service delivery.

The accreditation process was managed at Jeakins Weir by Compliance Manager, Megan Haddock and Marketing Manager, Sophie Lindsay, with much of the work carried out during the Covid-19 lockdown. The Investors in People assessor also talked to members of staff to get their first-hand insights and feedback. These were shared with Jeakins Weir managers to help drive continuous improvement in the way the business supports its people.
